About Gayle Jones
In the beginning, there was a little girl with wide eyed wonderment of her world, perhaps only a bit more naive than she is today.
As a child when she was asked "What do you want to be when you grow
up?" Gayle’s answer was, "First a Lady, then a nurse, then a
mother, but always a Lady." In time she pursued an education in the
Nursing field. She soon found out that the stirring within her to help
people, had to take another form. This was due to the constant need for
smelling salts after many instances of fainting at the sights or smells
that hospital staff take for granted.
" Another field, what would it be," Gayle asked herself. Those thoughts resulted in a degree in Business. She spent the years her 4 children were small, working for School Districts or selling product lines of health items out of her home. Later, that sales experience branched into outside commission sales work for a variety of companies where Gayle always seemed to achieve ‘Top Sales Person’ status for the company. She seemed to find a way in sales to achieve some degree of satisfaction for helping people.
Gayle had developed a back problem in her early 20’s resulting from an auto accident that was accompanied by a great deal of pain. Because of that pain she was lead into Yoga and finally shared this form of pain relief with others, when she branched into teaching Hatha Yoga. She opened her first Studio in 1976 in Cuero, Texas, teaching Yoga before it had reached "cool" status. In fact, it had to be billed at stress reduction exercise to avoid religious ridicule. Gayle has continued teaching Yoga consistently ever since that time taking off only one 8 month period.
Along with her background in Yoga and various sales including, nutritional and natural makeup products, she had expanded her education in these fields of interest. Gayle had been doing etheric touch healing for 9 years when she decided to take the course for Reiki I. After being abruptly terminated from a well paying position when her Sales company office closed without warning, Gayle opened her first office for Reiki in 2000. Gaining experience as her practice grew, Gayle went on to take the Reiki II course and finally the Masters Degree in Reiki study. Since that time, she has taught classes in Reiki to certifying other practitioners.
